البته گفته شده دلیل اینکه بعضی کشورها مثل عراق توی این نمودار جزء افسرده ترین کشورها مثل ما نشدن دلیلش اینه که مردم اونجا از نظر فکری به حدی نرسیدن که از بیماری روحی آگاهی داشته باشن و به دکتر مراجعه کنن و یه جا ثبت بشه .
اثرات جنگ و شیمیایی شدن و بحران های عراق برکسی پوشیده نیست.
آگاهی یکسان مردم کشورهای جهان از سلامت روحی ،شرط صحیح بودن این آماره.

افسردگی رتبه دوم جهانی را در ایجاد ناتوانی برای افراد دارد اما این بیماری در کشورها و مناطق مختلف به صورت متفاوتی بروز می کند. مثلا میزان افسردگی شدید در افغانستان در بالاترین میزان و در ژاپن در کمترین میزان است.
آفتاب - جدیدترین یافته های علمی حاکی از آن است که پس از کمر درد، افسردگی مهمترین ناتوانی در سراسر جهان محسوب می شود.

محققان در نشریه "پلاس مدیسین" تاکید کرده اند باید افسردگی به عنوان یک اولویت بهداشت عمومی جهانی درمان شود.

در این مطالعه افسردگی بالینی با بیش از 200 بیماری و آسیب دیدگی دیگری که موجب ناتوانی فرد می شوند مقایسه شده اند.

بر اساس اعلام سازمان بهداشت جهانی در سراسر جهان، تنها بخش کوچکی از بیماران به درمان دسترسی دارند.

دکتر آلزی فراری از دانشکده بهداشت جمعیت دانشگاه کویینزلند که این پژوهش را رهبری کرده است می گوید افسردگی مشکل بزرگی است و ما قطعا باید توجه بیشتری به آن داشته باشیم.

وی افزود: باید کارهای بیشتری در زمینه آگاهی رسانی در مورد این بیماری صورت دهیم و شیوه های موفق و موثر بهتری برای درمان آن عرضه کنیم.

به گفته وی بار این بیماری نیز در کشورهای مختلف متفاوت است به طوری که کشورهای کم درآمد و با درامد متوسط بیشترین بار و کشورهای ثروتمند کمترین بار را از این بیماری متحمل می شوند.

به گفته وی، اگرچه سیاستگذاران تلاش کرده اند تا با اتخاذ سیاست های مختلف به افسردگی بیشتر پرداخته شود اما هنوز باید کارهای بسیار بیشتری انجام شود.

داده های سال 2010 در پی مطالعات مشابه سال 1990 و 2000 به بار جهانی افسردگی پرداخته است.

دکتر "دانیل چشولم" اقتصاد دان سلامت در بخش سلامت روان و سوء مصرف مواد سازمان بهداشت جهانی در مورد این تحقیقات می گوید افسردگی یک بیماری بسیار ناتوان کننده است.

وی افزود: این یک چالش عمومی بزرگ برای سلامتی و یک مشکل عظیم برای روبه روشدن با آن است اما کارهای انجام شده برای درمان آن کافی نیست.

در سراسر جهان تنها بخش کوچکی از مردم به هر نوع درمان و یا شیوه تشخیصی افسردگی دسترسی دارند.

به گزارش مهر، سازمان بهداشت جهانی به تازگی برنامه بهداشت روان جهانی را برای ارتقای سطح آگاهی سیاست گذاران آغاز کرده است.
