، متخصص مغز و اعصاب ،راک هیمن ، مدیر مرکز مولتیپل اسکلروزیس در UPMCمی گوید: عوامل بسیاری موجد MS در افراد هستند.ازجمله : ژنتیک و عوامل محیطی . به عنوان مثال ، دکتر هیمن می گوید : "در آب و هوای ابری MS بیشتر است."
و متخصص مغز و اعصاب توماس اسکات ، مدیر مرکز Allegheny درمان مولتیپل اسکلروز یس می گوید : این بیماری در شمال نسبت به جنوب شایع تر است. "
به گفته دکتر هیمن : منطقه پیتسبورگ بروز MS بالاتر از دیگرمناظق است ( در حدود یک در 750) . اما این بالاترین نمی باشد. چرا که اتاوا ی کانادا ،بالاتر از این می باشد. ( یک در 400 )
هیچ درمان قطعی برای MS وجود ندارد. اما دکتر هیمن می گویدSadFDA) هشت دارو را برای کمک به پیشگیری از پیشرفت بیماری اینترفرون به نام بتاسرون و.....را ، در سال 1993 تایید کرده است
خانم مالکانو گفت : او تمام داروها را امتحان کرد اما بدون موفقیت و با واکنش های آلرژیک بدی برایش همراه بود -- تا بالاخره در یک تحقیق مرکز درمان مولتیپل اسکلروزیس Allegheny برای داروی تأیید شده توسط FDA در سپتامبر گذشته شرکت کرد.
این دارو گلینیا با نام عمومی فینگیلومید می باشد و اولین دارویی است که برای درمان خوراکی MS به جای تزریق یا انفوزیون IVمورد تایید FDAواقع گشته است..

اول تشکر ویژه ای دارم از همدم بخاطر ترجمه خوب و مفیدش ؛ رویای ساخت داروهایی از این دست باعث تحول بزرگی در زندگی فرد مبتلا می شه ، این امید می تونه فرد رو به آینده امیدوارتر کنه . همچنین وجود این روش درمان باعث تغییر نگرش جامعه به ام اس می شه . بنظر من وقتی ام اس دیگه نیازی به درمانهایی مثل تزریق یه روز درمیون و یا هفته ای نداشته باشه و با یه قرص نتیجه ای به مراتب مطلوب تر داشه باشه ، دیگه این دید در موردش وجود نداره و جامعه هم خیلی راحت تر به اون نگام می کنه و ام اس رو می پذیره .

من شدیدا امیدوارم که بیاد چون بعد از 2 سال مصرف تایسبری خطر پی ام ال وجود داره و من اصلا دوست ندارم ریسک ادامه ی درمان با تایسبری رو بعد از 2 سال تجربه کنم
البته قیمتش خیلی وحشتناکه
فینگلومای هم همینطور
اون دفعه دکتر صحراییان گفت تا اوایل سال 91 میاد
