این مقاله شرح مفصلی از اولین هفته زندگی یک جفت دوقلو را توصیف می‌کند که در هنگام بدنیا آمدن در دو دستگاه جداگانه انکوباتور( incubator)نگهداری می‌شدند و پزشکان گفته بودند که یکی از آنها زنده نخواهد ماند. اما یکی از پرستاران بخش نوزادان، دو کودک نوزاد را بر خلاف مقرارت بیمارستان در یک دستگاه انکوباتور قرار داد و برای این کار با بیمارستان جنگید.
زمانیکه آنها در یک دستگاه قرار گرفتند، دست نوزاد سالم تر، به گونه ای که پنداری خواهرش را در آغوش گرفته باشد، بر او قرار گرفت. از آن ببعد ضربان قلب نوزاد کوچکتر و بیمار، شروع به عادی شدن می‌کند و دمای بدن او بالا رفته، شکل عادی می‌یابد. پس از مدتی، هر دو آنها زنده می‌مانند و شروع به رشد می‌کنند.

دو خواهر دو قلو به خانه رفتند و در یک تخت خواب خوابیدند . آنها همچنان با هم در یک تخت می خوابند، و یکدیگر را کیپ در آغوش می گیرند.


بیمارستان زمانی که متوجه اثر "نجات بخش" گذاشتن این دو نوزاد در کنار یکدیگر شد، از آن پس در مقررات خود تغییر بوجود آورد و هم اکنون تمامی دو قلوها؛ حتی چند قلوها را در یک تخت و یاانکوباتور در کنار هم و نزدیک هم می‌خوابانند.
.دکتر مارک کتز (Mark Katz, M.D)، عضو L.A. Shanti's Advisory Board می‌نویسد:" ...در آغوش گرفتن،می‌تواند در محدوده ذهنی یک فرد تغییراتی را ایجاد نماید و به آنها از لحاظ پزشکی کمک کند. بالاتر از همه اینکه، در آغوش گرفتن،هیچگونه عوارض جانبی، ندارد و شما برای گرفتن چنین مداوایی، احتیاج به رفتن نزد دکتر ندارید."

در آغوش گرفتن، (Hug) داروی خوبی است. در این حرکت، انرژی منتقل می‌شود و فرد در آغوش گرفته شده تقویت روحی و عاطفی می‌شود. شما برای بقا در زندگیتان به یکبار در آغوش گرفته شدن ، برای حفظ و حراست از زندگیتان به 8 بار در آغوش گرفته شدن و برای رشد و نمو به12 بار در آغوش گرفته شدن در روز نیاز دارید.

پوست بزرگترین اندام بدن است و این اندام احتیاج به مراقبت های لازم و خوبی را دارد. یک Hug می‌تواند که قسمت های وسیعی از پوست را پوشش دهد و این پیام را به پوست برساند که "از تو مراقبت می‌شود".
Hug همچنین یک وسیله ارتباطی است، که می‌تواند چیزهایی را بگوید که شما نمی‌توانید در غالب کلمات بیان کنید. نکته بسیار زیبا در مورد Hug اینست که شما نمی‌توانید آنرا یک طرفه به کسی بدهید، معمولا شما آنرا پس می‌گیرید.

منم هيمنو مي گم مثلا" مي شه درختي عروسكي رو بغل كرد. اثري داره.

آغوش آغوشه.دختر عروسكي و پسر عروسكي نداره.من با بغل كردن پسر عروسكيه خودم كلي آروم ميشم.
