حالت نیمه ماه
ماه دارای اهمیت نمادین و سرشار از اساطیر یوگا است. در هاتا یوگا، به عنوان مثال، خورشید و ماه دوقطب منبع انرژی بدن انسان است. در واقع، کلمه هاتا به خودی خود اغلب به هجاهای تشکیل دهنده آن یعنی "ها" و "تا"، که به عنوان مفهوم انرژی خورشیدی و قمری است تفسیر وتقسیم شده است.

1-انجام Utthita Trikonasana به سمت راست،دست چپ خود را در حال استراحت بر روی ران چپ قرار دهید.با تنفس عمیق، زانو راست خود را خم،و پای چپ خود را در حدود 6 تا 12 اینچ به کنار در امتداد زمین بکشد. در همان زمان،دست راست خود را به جلو،حداقل 12 اینچ فاصله با پای راست نگه دارید.

2-بازدم، دست راست خودو پاشنه راست را بصورتی پایدار و محکم به زمین فشار دهیدکف پای راست کاملا به پهلو، پای چپ رابه طور همزمان موازی (موازی یا کمی بالاتر) از زمین بلند کنید.کشش فعالانه از طریق پاشنه چپ به نگه داشتن پا قوی کمک مینماید. ازقفل بودن زانو غافل نشوید: اطمینان حاصل کنید که زانو به تراز وسط قرار دارد و مستقیم روبه جلو باشد نه به سمت داخل.

3-چرخش بالا تنه به سمت چپ است، اما نگه داشتن در سمت چپ در حال انجام حرکت کمی به جلو باشد. بیشتر مبتدی ها با نگه داشتن دست چپ در سمت چپ و قراردادن سر در موقعیت خنثی ورو به جلو زل زده تعادل حرکت را حین اجرا حفظ کنن.

4-تحمل وزن بدن عمدتا بر روی پا ایستاده است. فشار از طرف پایین به آرامی به زمین است،وباید هوشمندانه تعادل خود راتنظیم کنید. فشار از ناحیه داخلی مچ پا از پای ایستاده به سمت بالا،یعنی به کشاله ران ایستاده است. درمقابل فشار درناحیه نیم تنه پشت به سمت پاشنه پای بلند شده رانیز حس میکنیم.

5-برای 30 ثانیه تا 1 دقیقه در این وضعیت بمانید. سپس ساق پا مطرح شده رابه زمین با یک بازدم اهسته برگردانید. پس از آن در طول همان زمان مطرح به سمت دیگر حرکن راانجام دهد.
