شرکت Apitope کار به کارگیری بیمار جهت کارآزمایی بالینی برای داروی ATX-MS-1467 را کامل کرد.

Apitope، شرکت توسعه و کشف دارو دراروپا که بر درمان بر پایه علت زمینه ای بیماریهای خود ایمنی، تمرکز کرده است امروز اتمام استخدام برای فاز دوم خود را برای ATX-MS-1467 درکارآزمایی بالینی در بیماران مبتلا به ام اس اعلام کرد.

ATX-MS-1467 یک درمان مفید است که با هدف کار با سیستم ایمنی بدن برای درمان علت بیماری و نه فقط درمان علائم و سرکوب سیستم ایمنی توسعه داده شده است، در نتیجه در حفظ تعادل ایمونولوژیک حائز اهمیت است.

ATX-MS-1467 قبلا مرحله اول کارآزمایی بالینی را در شش بیمار مبتلا به MS پیشرونده ثانویه (SPMS) با موفقیت به پایان رسانده است. بر اساس این نتایج دلگرم کننده اولیه، مرحله دوم کارآزمایی بالینی برای ارزیابی ایمنی ATX-MS-1467 و همچنین پارامترهای بیولوژیکی در یک گروه 40 نفره بیمار ان مبتلا به MS عود کننده فروکش کننده اجرا شده است.

کارآزمایی بالینی در دو بیمارستان در بریتانیا و همچنین 12 درمانگاه در روسیه انجام می شود . تعیین دوز ATX-MS-1467 انتظار می رود تا پایان سال 2012 تکمیل شود.

دکتر جرمی چاتاوی ، محقق ارشد جهت آزمایشات در بیمارستان ملی نورولوژی و جراحی مغز و اعصاب در لندن اظهار داشت: "ATX-MS-1467 می تواند به عنوان یک گزینه درمانی برای بیماران مبتلا به ام اس مورد استفاده قرار گیرد، بنابراین، این یک گام مهم در آزمایشات است "

نقطه اولیه آزمایش جهت ایمنی و تحمل و عوارض جانبی با اسکن های MRI ارزیابی شده است، در حالی که نقاط پایانی تحقیق برای ارائه درک و بینش کلی نسبت به فعالیت ایمونولوژیکی از این درمان تحقیقاتی است. طیف وسیعی از دوز ATX-MS-1467 هر دو هفته یکبار به مدت 16 هفته تجویز شده است، و تا بیشتر از 24 هفته پس از درمان پیگیری شده است.


دکتر کیت مارتین، مدیر عامل شرکت از Apitope افزود: "ATX-MS-1467 اولین درمانی است که از فن آوری های نوین پلت فرم Apitope استفاده می کند و ما به این نقطه عطف کلیدی رسیده ایم . ما انتظار داریم که نتایج حاصل از این آزمایش را در بیماران مبتلا به MS ببینیم. "


این شرکت دارای یک پلت فرم با امتیاز کشف اختراع است که آن را قادر می سازد که مجموعه ای ازدرمانهای بر پایه اصلاح پپتید برای درمان بیماری خود ایمنی / آلرژیک را مورد استفاده قرار دهد.

ATX-MS-1467 متشکل از چهار پپتید مصنوعی است که رفتار پپتید طبیعی و مشتق شده از پروتئین انسانی بنیادی میلین (MBP) را تقلید می کند، در واقع یک آنتی ژن خودکار کلیدی در ام اس است.

ATX-MS 1467 بر مبنای اجرای MBP طبیعی طراحی شده است و به صورت انتخابی حمله مضرسیستم ایمنی بدن به غلاف میلین را مهار می کند در حالیکه پاسخ طبیعی ایمنی بدن به هر گونه آنتی ژن مضر مانند عفونت را حفظ کرده است.
