دانش پژوهان آلمانی یک دستگاه الکترونیکی (ایمپلنت) ساخته اند که توانایی راه رفتن را به چهار فرد معلول بازگردانده است.
به گزارش ندای انقلاب به نقل از مهر،‌ این دستگاه توسط شرکت "اوتوبوک" برای کمک به قربانیان سکته مغزی یا ضایعات مغزی که سیستم اعصابشان آسیب دیده طراحی شده است.
بیماری که این دستگاه در ماه جولای در بدنش کاشته شد توانست هفته جاری راه برود.

او یک زن است که در دهه بیست سالگی اش پس از یک تصادف جاده ای دچار آسیب مغزی شد و توانایی راه رفتن را از دست داد. زندگی وی اکنون به واسطه فناوری تغییر کرده است.

دکتر "مایکل جو آن" مجری این طرح گفت: یکی از چهار بیمار ما توانست سالها پس از سکته مغزی اش به کارش بازگردد. او نمی توانست به تنهایی به سرکار برود اما اکنون این توان را بازیافته است.

این دستگاه که ActiGate نام دارد، در حال حاضر فقط در یک کلینیک خصوصی در دسترس است اما محققان امیدوارند این دستگاه به زودی در دسترس سایرین نیز قرار بگیرد.


قربانیان سکته و آسیب های مغزی اغلب توانایی راه رفتن را از دست می دهند چرا که سیگنال های عصبی دیگر به پاها نمی رسد. با کاشت یک شبیه ساز الکترونیکی به قسمت بالایی ران، سیگنال ها از طریق یک سیم زیر پوستی به ماهیچه های ساق پا ارسال می شوند.

در این روش یک رایانه کوچک بر روی کمر، سیگنال های رادیویی را از طریق یک آنتن خارجی به شبیه ساز می فرستد. این شبیه ساز جریان برق را به ماهیچه ساق پا که الکترودی در آن قرار داده شده، فرستد.

این مدار با یک کلید کوچک که بر روی کفش کاربر قرار می گیرد، کامل می شود. این کلید در واقع برای اطمینان از این است که پاها با شدت زیاد به زمین برخورد نکند.

این کلید همچنین به شبیه ساز کمک می کند بداند چه زمانی شوک دیگری به ماهیچه ساق پا وارد کند.

بیماران با در نظر گرفتن تنظیمات، شبیه ساز عصبی را کنترل می کنند. آنها معمولا توانستند طی دو هفته پس از جراحی راه بروند.

انرژی مورد نیاز این ایمپلنت توسط یک باتری قابل شارژ خارجی تامین می شود. این ایمپلنت دست کم ۱۰ سال دوام دارد در حالی که باتری های خارجی آن برای کنترل دستگاه و کلید پا هر دو سال یک بار نیازمند شارژ هستند.

پزشکان معتقدند ActiGait می تواند به بیماران مبتلا به ام اس که مجبور به استفاده از صندلی چرخدار هستند کمک کند.
