اولين نشانگر زيستي بيماري ام.اس كشف شد - maya - 2010/04/05

دانشمندان در تازه‌ ترين مطالعات خود موفق به كشف اولين نشانگر زيستي بيماري ام اس شده‌اند كه ممكن است، بتواند پيش‌بيني كند كدام بيماران به يك تكنيك استاندارد درماني واكنش مثبت نشان خواهند داد و كدام بيماران واكنشي به درمان نشان نخواهند داد.
محققان دانشگاه آلاباما در بيرمنگهام آمريكا به همراه گروهي از محققان دانشگاه استانفورد دريافته‌اند؛ بيماران مبتلا به نوع خاص سلولهاي ايمني امدادرسان T اين بيماري، به روش اينترفرون - بتا كه اولين خط درماني براي معالجه بيماري ام اس است، واكنش خوبي نشان نمي‌دهند و يا علائم شديدتري از بيماري را تجربه مي‌كنند.
دكتر چاندر رامان، استاديار بخش ايمنولوژي و روماتولوژي باليني و محقق اصلي اين پژوهش در اين باره متذكر شد: اينترفرون - بتا عموما اولين گزينه درماني براي اكثر مبتلايان به بيماري ام اس است اما براي زيرمجموعه‌اي از بيماران كه حدود 30 درصد آنها را تشكيل مي‌دهند، اين روش تاثير نمي‌كند و حتي ممكن است حال بيمار را وخيم‌تر كند.
رامان اضافه كرد: يافته‌هاي تحقيقاتي ما هم روي مدل‌هاي آزمايشي حيواني و هم انساني نشان مي‌دهد كه حضور نوع سلول امدادرسان T در واقع يك فاكتور شناساگر در پيش بيني امكان يا عدم امكان اثرگذاري روش اينترفرون - بتا در معالجه ام اس است.
دكتر رامان تصريح كرد: اين يافته مي‌تواند گامي ديگر در جهت شخصي سازي درمان و دارو باشد كه در آن انتخاب و استفاده از نوع درمان بر اساس فيزيولوژي و ساختار ژنتيكي هر بيمار و نيز طبيعت بيماري صورت مي‌گيرد.
رامان همچنين متذكر شد: وقتي يافته‌هاي ما در يك آزمايش گسترده انساني مورد بررسي قرار مي‌گيرد، يك آزمايش خون ساده براي تشخيص نوع سلول امداد رسان T كه مسوول بروز بيماري در يك فرد مبتلا به ام اس است، قابل استفاده خواهد بود. اين آزمايش ساده متخصصان را قادر مي‌سازد تا از همان ابتداي پروسه درمان روش درماني مناسب را انتخاب كرده و مشكل را ريشه كن كنند.
در اين تحقيق، پژوهشگران سلولهاي تيپ يك امدادرسان T و سلولهاي تيپ 17 امدادرسان T را در يك مدل حيواني مبتلا به بيماري ام اس مورد آزمايش قرار دادند.
به گفته پژوهشگران؛ هر دو نوع سلول Th1 و Th17 آغاز كننده‌هاي اصلي بيماري ام اس بوده و در شدت بيماري بسيار حائز اهميت هستند.
محققان دريافتند؛ روش اينترفرون - بتا در درمان موشهايي كه بيماري آنها با سلولهاي Th1 آغاز شده بود، تاثير دارد. اما در موشهايي كه بيماري آنها با سلولهاي Th17 آغاز شده بود، سبب وخيم‌تر شدن بيماري مي‌شود. اين يافته‌ها پس از ادامه آزمايشات و تحليل‌ها روي سرم بيماران انساني مبتلا به ام اس مورد تاييد قرار گرفت.
دكتر رامان تاكيد كرد: اين تحقيق موكد اين مفهوم است كه بيماريها داراي علائم و اثرات خاصي هستند كه به تعريف منشا آنها كمك مي‌كند و سرنخ‌هايي را در اختيار ما قرار مي‌دهند كه نشان مي‌دهد؛ چطور اين بيماري‌ها در بدن ما تقويت مي‌شوند.
