نتایج یك مطالعه جدید نشان داد عدم توجه به نیازهای اجتماعی و جسمی كودك به رشد مغزی او آسیب می رساند.
به گزارش سرویس «سلامت» ایسنا، این اثرات سوء روی رشد مغزی كودك با تغییر محیط زندگی او و ایجاد فضایی مثبت تر و مطلوب تر، قابل درمان هستند.
به گزارش سایت اینترنتی هلت دی نیوز، متخصصان بیمارستان اطفال بوستون با مطالعه روی اسكن های مغزی سه گروه از كودكان رومانیایی ۸ تا ۱۱ ساله به این نتایج دست یافته اند. تعدادی از این كودكان در نوانخانه زندگی می كرند، تعدادی از آنها ابتدا در نوانخانه بزرگ شده بودند و بعد به فرزندخواندگی گرفته شده و عده دیگری نیز از همان بدو تولد با اعضای خانواده خود و در یك خانواده معمولی بزرگ شده بودند.
نتایج بررسی اسكن های مغزی تایید كرد: كودكانی كه از ابتدا در نوانخانه بزرگ شده بودند حجم سلولهای خاكستری مغزشان كمتر از كودكانی بود كه با اعضای خانواده خود زندگی می كردند. هم چنین حجم سلولهای خاكستری در قشر مخ كودكانی كه به فرزندخواندگی گرفته شده بودند به اندازه كافی رشد نكرده بود. اما این متخصصان دریافتند كه ظاهرا ماده سفید مخ برخلاف ماده خاكستری، قابلیت ترمیم پذیری بیشتری دارد. چون با وجود كم شدن حجم سلولهای سفید مخ در كودكان یتیم، آنهایی كه به فرزندخواندگی گرفته شده بودند پس از مدتی اندازه ماده سفید مغزشان به همان اندازه كودكانی بود كه در خانواده خودشان بزرگ شده بودند.
جزئیات این مطالعه در نشریه دستاوردهای آكادمی ملی علوم آمریكا به چاپ رسیده است.
