محققاني كه بر روي ام اس تحقيق مي كنند مدت زمان زيادي به دنبال مولكول خاصي بوده اند كه موجب ضايعه در ميلين كه يك غشاي چربي به عنوان رويه عصب مي¬باشد، مي¬شود. در يك دهه گذشته يك گروه از كلنيك مايو يك آنزيمي به نام Kallikrein 6 را كشف كرد. اين آنزيم به وفور در ضايعات ام اس و آزمايشات خون يافت مي شود و با التهاب و تخريب ميلين در بيماري هاي خود ايمني در ارتباط است. همين گروه در نشريه Brain Pathology عنوان كرده اند كه پادتني كه بتواند Kallikrein 6 را خنثي كند را يافته اند و توانسته اند ام اس را در موش ها درمان كنند.
محققان يك مدل ويروسي از ام اس در موش ها را تحت نظر گرفتند. اين مدل بر اساس نظريه عفونت ويروسي بوده كه سبب يك پاسخ غير طبيعي سيستم ايمني در مغز و نخاع مي شود. يك هفته پس از عفونت بواسطه ويروس، افزايش سطح آنزيم Kallikrein 6 در مغز و نخاع مشاهده شده است. با درمان موش ها بواسطه پادتني كه سبب توقف و خنثي نمودن اين آنزيم مي شود، كاهش در اثرات بيماري در مغز و نخاع مانند ميلين زدايي، مشاهده شد.
اين يافته نشان مي دهد Kallikrein 6 يك نقش اساسي در التهاب و ميلين زدايي بازي مي كند و در مراحل مزمن اولیه برخی از بیماری های عصبی، Kallikrein 6 يك مولكول خوب براي هدف قرار دادن و خنثي كردن مي باشد.

در تحقیقات برروی موش ،توقف یک آنزیم موجب کند شدن ام اس شده است.

محققانی که بر روی ام اس تحقیق می کنند مدت زمان زیادی به دنبال مولکول خاصی بوده اند که موجب آسیب میلین (که یک غشای چربی به عنوان رویه عصب می باشد) می شود. در یک دهه گذشته گروهی ازمحققین کلنیک مایو(mayo clinic) آنزیمی به نام Kallikrein 6 را کشف کرد. این آنزیم به وفور در ضایعات ام اس و آزمایشات خون آنها یافت می شود و با التهاب و تخریب میلین در بیماری های خود ایمنی در ارتباط است. همین گروه در نشریه Brain Pathology عنوان کرده اند که پادتنی راکه بتواند Kallikrein 6 را خنثی کند یافته اند و توانسته اند ام اس را در موش ها درمان کنند.

محققان یک مدل ویروسی از ام اس در موش ها را تحت نظر گرفتند. این مدل بر اساس نظریه عفونت ویروسی بوده که سبب یک پاسخ غیر طبیعی سیستم ایمنی در مغز و نخاع می شود. یک هفته پس از عفونت بواسطه ویروس، افزایش سطح آنزیم Kallikrein 6 در مغز و نخاع مشاهده شده است. با درمان موش ها بواسطه پادتنی که سبب توقف و خنثی نمودن این آنزیم می شود، کاهش در اثرات بیماری در مغز و نخاع مشاهده شد.

این یافته نشان می دهد Kallikrein 6 یک نقش اساسی در التهاب و میلین زدایی بازی می کند و در مراحل مزمن اولیه برخی از بیماری های عصبی، Kallikrein 6 یک مولکول خوب برای هدف قرار دادن و خنثی کردن می باشد
