درد در سطح جلویی و داخلی ساق پا است و بعد از فعالیت های شدید بدنی و ورزش زیاد به وجود می آید.
به دنبال فعالیت بدنی زیاد تاندون، عضله و پریوست(پرده نازكی كه روی استخوان ها وجود دارد) ملتهب می شود و این التهاب موجب درد می شود.

وجود صافی كف پا یا تغییرات دیگر در قوس كف پا، زمینه را برای این بیماری فراهم می كند. این وضعیت در دونده ها و كسانی كه درگیر فعالیت های بدنی شدید نظامی هستند بیشتر دیده می شود.

Shin Splintدرد در سطح جلویی و داخلی ساق پا است و بعد از فعالیت های شدید بدنی و ورزش زیاد به وجود می آید.

علل دیگر درد ساق:

* شكستگی استرسی: اسكن رادیوایزوتوپ یا ام آر آی به این تشخیص كمك می كند.

* تاندونیت

* سندروم كمپارتمان مزمن: در این بیماری به دنبال هر فعالیت بدنی شدید كه به ساق فشار زیادی وارد كند عضلات ساق متورم و دردناك می شوند.

درمان

* مهم ترین اقدام درمانی كاهش چند هفته ای فعالیت های بدنی است كه موجب درد شده است.

* كمپرس سرد یا بستن محل با بانداژ الاستیك هم می تواند مفید باشد.

* انجام نرمش های كششی مفید است.

بعد از چند هفته می توان ورزش یا فعالیت بدنی منجر به درد را مجدداً شروع كرد ولی باید مواظب بود كه اولا این بار شدت انجام فعالیت ها را كم كم افزایش داد و ثانیا قبل از انجام هر فعالیت بدنی، بدن را به اصطلاح گرم كرد؛ یعنی نرمش های كششی را به اندازه كافی انجام داد.

اگر درد دوباره شروع شد فعالیت را قطع كنید، كمپرس سرما بدهید و چند روز استراحت كنید و دوباره فعالیت را شروع كنید ولی با سطح باز هم كمتر از قبل.
