متخصصان چشم پزشكي در يك مطالعه جديد هشدار دادند كه اگر شما هم ترجيح مي‌دهيد به خاطر مقابله با تغييرات جوي از لامپ‌هاي فلورسنت استفاده كنيد، بايد بدانيد كه اين لامپ‌ها احتمال بروز بيماري‌هاي چشمي را افزايش مي‌دهند.

به گزارش سرويس بهداشت و درمان ايسنا، هلن والز، متخصص ارشد اين مطالعه در دانشگاه ملي استراليا خاطرنشان كرد: بسياري از مردم در سراسر جهان در منزل و محل كار شبانه روز در معرض منابع نور مصنوعي هستند.

والز تاكيد كرد: نور حاصل از لامپ‌هاي فلورسنت مي‌تواند تماس چشم با امواج فرابنفش را 12 درصد افزايش دهد و خطر بروز بيماري‌هاي چشمي مرتبط با اين امواج را تشديد كند.

به گزارش روزنامه سيدني مورنينگ هرالد، والز تاكيد كرد: استفاده از لامپ‌هاي فلورسنت اگرچه منجر به كاهش توليد گازهاي گلخانه‌اي مي‌شود اما از سوي ديگر تعداد مبتلايان به بيماري‌هاي چشمي را به تدريج افزايش خواهد داد.
