تحقیقات دانشمندان نشان می‌دهد که در نیمکره شمالی زمین، متولدین ماه می (اردیبهشت - خرداد) بیشتردرخطر ابتلا به بیماری MS هستند؛ این درصورتی است که متولدین ماه نوامبر (مهر - آبان) کمترین خطر ابتلا به این بیماری را دارند.
محققین گمان می‌کنند که واکنشهای پیچیده بین ژنها و محیط زندگی قبل و کمی بعد از تولد می‌تواند این ارتباط را توضیح دهد. آنها بر روی ۱۷,۸۷۴ بیمار کانادایی و ۱۱,۵۰۲ بیمار انگلیسی که بیماری MS دارند تحقیق کرده‌اند. در این رابطه ماه تولد به همراه اطلاعات دقیق آماری از تاریخچه شخصیتی، پزشکی و خانوادگی آنها جمع آوری و بررسی شد. دو گروه مقایسه شونده از عموم افراد جامعه و برادر و خواهرهایی که این بیماری را ندارند انتخاب شدند.
نتایج بدست آماده در کانادا نشان داد که تعداد محدودی از کسانیکه به بیماری MS دچار شده بودند در ماه نوامبر به دنیا آمده‌اند. به همین صورت در انگلیس بیشتر افراد مبتلا به این بیماری در ماه می و تعداد کمی از آنها در ماه نوامبر متولد شده بودند البته تعداد افراد مبتلای متولد ماه دسامبر(آبان - آذر) هم اندک بود.
بیش از ۴۲,۰۰۰ نمونه دیگر نیز در کشورهای دانمارک و سوئد بررسی شدند. این بررسی‌ها نشان داد که متولدین ماه می ۱۳ درصد بیشتر از متولدین ماه نوامبر در خطر ابتلا به بیماری MS بوده و متولدین ماه نوامبر ۱۹ درصد کمتر از متولدین ماه می در خطر ابتلا به این بیماری هستند. این مساله بخصوص در اسکاتلند که شیوع بیماری MS در آنجا بیشتر است، مشهودتر بود.
نویسندگان می‌گویند این نتایج نهایتا وابستگی ماه تولد افراد و خطر ابتلا به MS در نیمکره شمالی زمین را نشان می‌دهد، اما علت این ارتباط همچنان نامعلوم است.
مطالعات قبلی بیان می‌کرد که افزایش ویتامین D در بدن مادر در دوران بارداری، در معرض آفتاب بودن یا تغییرات فصلی، می‌تواند تاثیر زیادی بر رشد مغز بگذارد. تحقیقات اخیر از نظریه‌ای که معتقد است المنهای محیطی قبل و بلافاصله بعد از تولد می‌تواند بر رشد اعصاب یا مقاوم سازی سیستمها تاثیربگذارد و همچنین خطر ابتلا به بیماری‌ها در دوران بزرگسالی را تعین کند، دفاع می‌کند.

من شنیده بودم متولدین در ماه های اول سال احتمال بیشتری داره :o :o :o :o :o

تحقیقات دانشمندان نشان می‌دهد که در نیمکره شمالی زمین، متولدین ماه می (اردیبهشت - خرداد) بیشتردرخطر ابتلا به بیماری MS هستند؛
يعني اينجا هم من نبايد شانس ميداشتم؟؟؟؟؟؟؟

یا توی ماه اشتباه به دنیا اومدم یا نیمکره اشتباه!! Wink
