محققان دانشگاه نیویورک، دانشگاه سن رافائله میلان، بیمارستان جراحی تخصصی نیویورک و دانشگاه کیو ژاپن مکانیسمی را یافته اند که همانند نوعی کلید، ایجاد وتنظیم "میلین" را ممکن می سازد.
این اکتشاف سناریوهای جدیدی را در درمان بیماریهایی چون "ام. اس" فراهم می آورد
. میلین غلافی است که فیبرهای عصبی را احاطه می کند و در انتقال سریع امواج عصبی نقش بسیار مهمی دارد. در حالت طبیعی با وجود این غلاف امواج عصبی به سرعت منتقل شده و موجب توانایی بدن در ایجاد حرکات هماهنگ و موزون میگردند.
در بیماری ام.اس این غلاف عصبی به تدریج تخریب می شود و بدین ترتیب امواج عصبی از مغز به خوبی منتقل نمی شود و علایم مختلف بیماری ام.اس ظاهر می شود.
هدف اصلی این تحقیق که نتایج آن در مجله نیچر نوروساینس شماره 12 ژوئن منتشر شده شناسایی مکانیزمهای پایه ای است که غلاف میلین را موزون می کنند.
این محققان در مطالعات قبلی خود فاکتور رشد غلاف میلینی راتوانسته بودند کشف کنند. این فاکتور رشد نوروگولین 1 نوع 3 نام دارد.
در تحقیق جدید، این محققان به دنبال کشف این نکته بودند که جگونه فعالیت این فاکتور رشد در طول فرایند میلین سازی تنظیم می شود
به این ترتیب، توانستند مولکول جدیدی به نام TACE را بیابند که با کار بر روی نوروگولین 1 نوع 3میتواند فرایندهای ساخت غلاف میلین راتنظیم کند.
این محققان می گویند:: چیزی که ما یافتیم اولین مکانیزیمی است که فرایند ساخت غلاف میلین را تنظیم می کند. داروهای فعلی درمان ام اس فقط فعالیت دستگاه ایمنی را مهار میکنند. این داروها برای کندکردن پیشرفت بیماری مفید هستند، اما نمیتوانند کارکرد حسی یا حرکتی مختل شده را درمان ویا بیماری را متوقف کنند . درحالی که درک اینکه کلید اصلی میلین سازی چگونه عمل می کند برای فراهم آوردن داروهایی که بتوانند فرایند میلین سازی را دوباره فعال کنند و منجر به توقف بیماری شوند جدی است.

خوشحالم ولی در بعضی از بیماران بعداز حمله غلاف میلین خودبه خود ترمیم میشه مثل من،کاش یه دارو ساخته میشد که کاملا جلوی حمله رو بگیره

ایشا ا... اگر اون به سن ما قد نمی ده ، سن ما بهش قد بده .
من به داروهای خوراکی هم راضی هستم . البته اگر درمان قطعی باشه که دیگه خیلی عالیه .

كاملا درسته. ديشب تو يه جا مي خوندم كه گاهي غلاف ميلين خود به خود ترميم ميشه براي همينه كه بعضي از علائم از بين ميره. اما تصور كن يه راهي براي ترميم پيدا بشه مسلما حتي حمله هام ديگه اثر ندارن چون با اون دارو دوباره غلاف ترميم ميشه. خيلي باحاله اونوقتlaughing3laughing3 اميدوارم به يه نتيجه خوبي برسه

تاریخ نشون داده که همیشه درمان بدترین بیماریها که باعث از بین رفتن بسیاری از آدمها شده ، بعد از گذشت مدت زمانی کشف شده ، مطمئنا ام اس هم الان درمان قطعی نداره و در آینده ای نزدیک با یه قرص یا واکسن درمان می شه .
