اختنصاصی ام.اس لینک - تر جمه از خانم دنیز - 28 ژانویه 2011 - هنوز درمان های موفقیت آمیز زیادی برای بهبود اختلال راه رفتن در بیماران مبتلا به ام اس یافت نشده است. اما در حال حاضر تحریک آهنگین شنیداری ( (RAS نتایج مثبتی نشان داده است.
پژوهشی فیزیولوژیکی نشان می دهد : آهنگ اثر عمیقی بر سیستم حرکتی دارد.
بر اساس این ارتباط فیزیولوژیکی ، تعداد زیادی از محققان در مطالعات بالینی خود تاثیر آهنگ و موسیقی را در ایجاد تغییرات کارکردی در عملکرد حرکتی بیماران سکته مغزی ، بیماری پارکینسون ، آسیب های مغزی و مولتیپل اسکلروزیس(ام اس)ثابت کرده اند.
در مطالعه اخیر ، 10 نفر بیمار ام اس با اختلال در راه رفتن ،وقتی به مدت 20 دقیقه در روز با سرعت موزون به موسیقی گوش دادند 10 ٪ سریعتر از سرعت نرمال خود راه رفتند.
تنها پس از 1 هفته از درمان ، تحلیل ما ،بهبود قابل توجهی ،در افت وخیز و طول گام و سرعت آن در بیماران نشان داد.
سطح رضایت با تحریک آهنگین شنیداری ( (RAS بالا بود.
