یک بررسی کیفی جدید روی مواد غذایی نشان داد اطلاعات برچسب‌های محتویات مواد تشکیل دهنده روی بسته بندی‌های غذایی می‌توانند غلط و یا فریب دهنده باشند و این امر بویژه در مورد میزان چربی‌های ترانس موجود در غذاهای صنعتی که روی برچسب محتویات ثبت می‌شود، صدق می‌کند.

به گزارش سرویس بهداشت و درمان ایسنا، این مطالعه جدید تاکید می‌کند که حتی وقتی روی این برچسب‌ها نوشته می‌شود که بدون چربی ترانس، اغلب این غذاها حاوی چربی ترانس هستند.

به گزارش سایت محلی شبکه خبری ای بی سی،‌ متخصصان آمریکایی در لس آنجلس هشدار دادند غذاهایی که تولید کنندگان آنها ادعا می‌کنند فاقد چربی ترانس هستند گاهی اوقات تا حدودی حاوی روغن‌های هیدروژنه هستند که این روغن‌ها هم در درون خود چربی ترانس دارند.

این یافته در مجله آمریکایی سلامت به چاپ رسیده است.
