تحقيقات جديد در آمريكا نشان داد زنان داراي گروه خوني O با بالا رفتن سن داراي مشكلات بيشتري در باروري مي شوند.

اين نخستين تحقيقي است كه نشان مي دهد گروه خوني زنان مي تواند بر شانس بارداري آنها تأثير گذار باشد.

محققان با تحقيق بر روي گروهي از زناني كه براي باروري تحت درمان بودند به اين نتيجه رسيدند كه زنان داراي گروه خوني O از نظر كمي و كيفي با تخمكهاي ضعيف تري روبرو هستند.
در مقابل زنان داراي گروه خوني A از نظر كمي و كيفي تخمكهاي بهتري را دارا بوده اند.

اين يافته ها مي تواند منجر به اين شود كه به زنان داراي گروه خوني O توصيه شود زودتر به فكر بچه دار شدن باشند اما كارشناسان مي گويند قبل از رسيدن قاطعانه به چنين نتيجه اي با تحقيقات بيشتري نياز است.

گروههاي خوني O و A دو گروه خوني رايج در ميان مردم بريتانيا است كه حدود 44 درصد مردم داراي گروه خوني O و حدود 42 درصد داراي گروه خوني A هستند.

دكتر ادوارد نجات از دانشكده آلبرت انيشيتن دانشگاه پزشكي نيويورك مي گويد اين تحقيقات بر روي زناني انجام شده كه در برنامه هاي دانشگاه ييل تحت درمان باروري قرار گرفته بودند.

نتايج اين تحقيقات به انجمن آمريكايي پزشكي آمريكا در دنور ارائه خواهد شد.
تحقيقات بر روي 560 زن كه ميانگين سني آنها زير 35 سال بوده انجام شده و نشان داد زنان داراي گروه خوني O شانس بيشتري را براي ابتلا به سندروم FSH داراي هستند.

افراد داراي گروه خوني A داراي آنتيژن A هستند پروتئيني در ديواره سلول كه در افراد داراي گروه خوني O وجود ندارد.
