هاوکینگ این دانشمند بزرگ از میان ما رفت.کسی که علی رغم ابتلا به بیماری کشنده ی آمیوتروفیک لترال اسکلروزیس بیش از پنجاه سال با شکوه تمام در میان کیهان و کهکشانها زندگی کرد و توانست دریچه های نوینی بسوی بشریت بگشاید، امروز صبح از میان ما رفت.بیشک هاوکینگ با توانایی های خارق العاده خود منشا دستاوردهای زیادی برای نوع بشر بوده است.او نتنها وارد تخصصی ترین جنبه های کیهان شناسی شد بلکه با چاپ کتابهای مشهور و پرفروشی همچون تاریخچه زمان به نشر علم در توده مردم نیز کمک شایانی کرد.او حتی برای بچه ها نیز کتاب نوشت و با شرکت در فیلمهای مستند، پیچیده ترین مفاهیم علمی را به زبانی ساده برای ما بیان نمود.بطور خلاصه می توان گفت که استفان هاوکینگ نوری بر بشریت افکند.این نور همه جانبه بود.حتی او با تابش مشهور هاوکینگ، سیاهچاله های عبوث و تیره را نیز روشن کرد و نشان داد حتی سیاهچاله ها نیز تاریک تاریک نیستند.هاوکینگ گرچه بر روی صندلی چرخدار نشسته بود اما با ذهن خود تمام کیهان را طی نمود. فراتر از همه ی اینها اما هاوکینگ یک الهام بخش و مشوق انسانها بود.همه ی ما در بسیاری از برهه های زندگی از رسیدن به هدفی که داریم و باید برای آن تلاش کنیم مایوس می شویم.کنار می کشیم.تلاشهایمان را متوقف می کنیم و این گونه خود را به روزمرگی می سپاریم.حال اگر بخصوص یک بیماری، نقصانی نیز برای ما بوجود آورد این موضوع دو چندان خواهد شد.هر روز در کلیینک وقت زیادی از ویزیت ها به این موضوع اخصاص می یابد تا به بیماران یاد دهیم که بیماری مانعی برای پیشرفت نیست و شما باید به داشته هایتان توجه کنید و هویت خود را با نداشته هایتان یکی نکنید.
از منظر یک پزشک، کسی مثل هاوکینگ بهترین مثال برای تحقق این حرفها بشمار می آید.بیماری آمیوترافیک لترال اسکلروزیس صرفا یک بیماری کشنده نیست بلکه بشدت ناتوان کننده نیز می باشد.یعنی در همان دوره ای که فرد مبتلا به این بیماری بوده و در قید حیات می باشد بشدت ناتوان می شود.پس هاوکینگ تمام بهانه های لازم برای ناموفق بودن را دارا بود.اما او نتنها ناامید نشد بلکه بیماری خود را تبدیل به یک فرصت کرد.جهان را بجای اینکه با پای خود بپیماید با ذهن خود پیمود و این گونه به یکی از سمبلهای مبارزه و تلاش برای همه ی جهانیان تبدیل شد.
آخرین نکته که باید به آن اشاره نمایم همانا گستردگی تجربیات هاوکینگ بود.همانطور که گفتم او فقط به فیزیک نظری اکتفا نکرد.به نویسندگی نیز رو آورد.از سوی دیگر خود را با تمام قدرت درگیر موضوعات روز بشری نمود.در مورد هوش مصنوعی، پیامی از فضا و حتی مقولات مذهبی اظهار نظر کرد.اظهار نظرهایی که گرچه گاه جنجالی بود اما عمق بینش و دغدغه های او را نشان می داد.
اکنون با رفتن او جهان یکی از سرمایه های خود را از دست داده است.در اهمیت مقام او همین بس که او وارث کرسی شوالیه بزرگ یا همان استاد اعظم ایزاک نیوتن در کمبریج بود.معلوم نیست با مرگ او جهان تا چه مدت باید در انتظار نیوتنی دیگر باشد.

و اینکه چرا این خبر رو در انجمن تخصصی ثبت کردم در حالی که به ظاهر به ام اس ربطی نداره . قبل از هر چی از دکتر مقدسی عزیز ممنونم و بی شک بخش اعظمی از حرفشون رو غیر مستقیم با بچه های ام اس بودن که با شنیدن کلمه ام اس خودشون رو میبازن یا کوچک ترین مشکلی دارن ، دیگه واویلا ... دنیا تموم شد.

کاش یکم افرادی مثل استفان هاوکینگ رو ببینیم . محدودیتی وجود نداره ، خود ما هستیم که محدودیت رو میسازیم ...

من ديشب داشتم يه مستند درمورد ايشون ميديدم واقعا برام
خيلي جالب بود
ادم بزرگي بود اينهمه قدرت ذهن واقعا عجيب
اينا معجزه هستن اخه اينهمه ناتواني جسمي واينهمه موفقيت ؟
