چرا افراد باهوش بیشتر دچار اختلالات جسمی و روانی می‌شوند؟


اگرچه افراد باهوش از گذشته تاکنون در انجام بیشتر مهارت‌های زندگی چند قدم جلوتر از افراد معمولی بوده‌اند، اما به تازگی محققان دریافتند که به‌رغم این تفاوت و برتری در بعضی از موارد نیز نرخ ابتلا به اختلالات روانی و جسمانی در این افراد بیشتر است.

به گزارش ایسنا و به نقل از ساینتیفیک، گروهی از محققان دانشگاه میشیگان برای اولین‌بار با مطالعه بر روی اعضای انجمن بین‌المللی تیزهوشان(منسا) دریافتند که حتی اعضای این جامعه به‌رغم داشتن مهارت‌های ذهنی و اجتماعی خاص از نظر جسمی و روانی با مشکلاتی همراه هستند.

منسا یک انجمن بین‌المللی تیزهوشان با گروه‌های متعدد ملی و منطقه‌ای در سراسر جهان است که از افراد دارای بهره هوشی بالا دعوت کرده و با برنامه‌های سازماندهی شده، سعی در استفاده هرچه بهتر از هوش این اعضا را دارد.

شرط عضویت در انجمن جهانی تیزهوشان، کسب امتیاز لازم در یکی از آزمون‌های تعیین ضریب هوشی یا سایر آزمون‌های معتبر و استاندارد مورد تایید انجمن است. نحوه رده‌بندی نتایج حاصل از آزمون به این صورت است که نتیجه آزمون بر حسب فراوانی مدلسازی شده و با نمودار استاندارد مطابقت داده می‌شود و جایگاه هر یک از شرکت‌کنندگان در آزمون نسبت به سایر افراد مشخص می‌شود و کسانی که بالاترین امتیاز را در گروه شرکت‌کننده خود کسب کنند، امکان عضویت در منسا را به دست می‌آورند.

محققان از بیشتر اعضای انجمن جهانی تیزهوشان خواستند تا در یک نظرسنجی شرکت کنند. در این نظرسنجی بیماری‌های مربوط به ذهن و روان و بیماری‌های جسمانی همچون آلرژی، آسم و حتی اوتیسم مورد بررسی قرار گرفت.

سوالات این نظرسنجی به گونه‌ای مطرح شده بود که از شرکت‌کنندگان تقاضا کرد که در صورت مبتلا شدن به هر یک از این بیماری‌ها صادقانه آن را بیان کنند.

محققان پس از بررسی نتایج دریافتند که بیشترین تفاوت بین اعضای انجمن جهانی تیزهوشان و افراد معمولی مربوط به نرخ ابتلا به بیماری‌های روحی و روانی است.

در این نظرسنجی به وضوح مشخص شد که بیش از یک چهارم(26.7 درصد) اعضای جامعه جهانی تیزهوشان تحت درمان بیماری‌های روانی قرار گرفته‌اند و این در حالی است که آمار به دست آمده از بررسی جمعیت استاندارد تنها معادل ۱۰ درصد است.

محققان بر این باورند که یکی از دلایل احتمالی برای توضیح این تفاوت، شرایط زندگی خاص و متمایز افراد باهوش جامعه است. به عنوان مثال یک فرد باهوش با توجه به برنامه تحصیلی و کاری فشرده کمتر به مسائل مربوط به ورزش، سلامت و تغذیه توجه می‌کند، بنابراین همین تمایز عامل احتمالی نرخ بیشتر بیماری‌های روحی و روانی در افراد باهوش جامعه است.
