چگونه MS با مرگ سلول های مغزی شروع می شود
محققین در دانشگاه شیکاگو نشان داده اند که مولتیپل اسکلروزیس می تواند با مرگ سلول های مغزی که عایق های پیرامون فیبرهای عصبی را می سازند شروع شود و مهم تر این که آن ها نانوذره ای را طراحی کرده اند که حتی بعد از مرگ این سلول های مغزی می تواند مانع از MS شود.
به گزارش بنیان به نقل ازmedicalxpress، محققین نشان داده اند که مولتیپل اسکلروزیس(MS) زمانی آغاز می شود که یک آسیب مغزی موجب تخریب سلول های میلین ساز شود. میلین ماده عایقی است که اطراف فیبرهای عصبی را فرا گرفته است و عبور پالس های الکتریکی از طریق این فیبرهای عصبی را تسهیل می کند. مرگ این سلول ها که اولیگودندروسیت نام دارند می تواند پاسخ های اوتوایمن را علیه میلین سازی فعال کند. از طرف دیگر محققین با استفاده از مدل موشی مهندسی ژنتیک شده که سلول های اولیگودندروسیتی اش مرده بود، فرم پیشرفته این بیماری اوتوایمن را ایجاد کردند و برخی تست های دارویی را انجام داده اند. جالب این است که سیستم عصبی مرکزی، سلول های تولید کننده میلین را مجددا بازسازی کرد اما بعد از شش ماه بیماری MS‌مجددا عود کرد که نشان می دهد تئوری محققین در مورد شروع MS با مرگ سلول های اولیگودندروسیتی کاملا درست است. از طرفی این مطالعه جدید نشان می دهد که احتمال این که MS به شکل از درون به بیرون شروع شود وجود دارد؛ این بدین معنی است که آسیب به اولیگودندروسیت ها در سیستم عصبی مرکزی می تواند یک پاسخ ایمنی مستقیم را شروع کند. در واقع این فرضیه بیان می کند با مرگ سلول های اولیگودندروسیتی، غلاف میلینی شروع به تجزیه شدن می کند و مواد حاصل از این تجزیه موجب برانگیختن یک پاسخ ایمنی می شوند و سیستم ایمنی نیز به اشتباه آن ها را به عنوان مهاجم می شناسد و آن ها را مورد حمله قرار داده و منجر به شروع MS می شود. آن ها در این مطالعه از نانوذره ای استفاده کرده اند که در برابر آنتی ژن میلین ایجاد تحمل می کند و زمانی که مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد مانع از پیشرفت بیشتر بیماری می شود.
