درمان ام اس در آستانه انقلاب/ سلولهای بنیادی توان راه رفتن را احیا می‌کنند
محققان با تزریق سلول های بنیادی به موش های مبتلا به ام اس، توانایی راه رفتن را در آنها احیا کردند.

به گزارش خبرگزاری مهر، پژوهشگران دانشگاه یوتا، سلول های بنیادی انسانی را به موش هایی که به بیماری شبیه ام اس مبتلا و معلول شده بودند، تزریق کردند و انتظار داشتند سیستم ایمنی موش، این سلول ها را پس بزند. اما در کمال حیرت دریافتند این سلول ها پس از آنکه توانایی راه رفتن را به موش ها بازگرداندند توسط بدن پس زده شدند. یافته غیر منتظره ای که می تواند معانی زیادی برای مبتلایان به ام اس انسانی داشته باشد.

در بیماری ام اس، سیستم ایمنی بدن به غلاف های میلینی رشته های عصبی در مغز، نخاع و اعصاب بینایی حمله می کند. در نتیجه این حمله، خاصیت عایق بودن رشته های عصبی از بین می رود، عملکرد اعصاب مختل شده و توانایی راه رفتن را از بیمار می گیرد.

در بررسی دانشگاه یوتا، سلولهای بنیادی عصبی انسانی در ظروف آزمایشگاهی رشد داده و سپس به موش های بیمار تزریق شد.

یک هفته پس از تزریق، هیچ نشانه ای شواهدی دال بر پس زده شدن این سلول ها در بدن حیوان مشاهده نشد؛ رویدادی که دانشمندان انتظار آن را داشتند.

طی 10 تا 14 روز موش ها توانستند دوباره راه بروند و بدوند و پس از گذشت شش ماه هنوز بیماری آنها عود نکرده است.

این امر به خاطر آن است که سلول های بنیادی سیگنال های شیمیایی ساطع می کنند که سلول های خود حیوان را تحریک می کند تا میلین آسیب دیده را ترمیم کند.

دکتر تام لین مجری این تحقیقات گفت: قرار است آزمایش های اضافی بر روی موش ها صورت گیرد ایمنی و با دوامی این درمان ارزیابی شده و در نهایت امید آزمایش های بالینی بر روی انسانی پر رنگ تر شود.

نتایج این تحقیقات در نشریه Stem Cell Reports منتشر شده است.

ترمیم میلین هم نوعی درمانه
